An Untitled Cloud Watching Program (*work in progress*)
This cloud watching program uses an object detection system to identity the clouds first, then
based on the result of the detection, the image of clouds will then be categorized into one or multiple classes. After that, the drawings from the same categories can be randomly fetched from the local database
(or ideally, google quick draw database) and eventually placed to the live video of clouds. Above are some tests.
As a continued exploration built upon the three investigations in Something New Under The Sun , this project
further explores the interdependent relationship between Nature and human
technology. An object detection program that is trained based on concrete images of human
activities tries to make sense of the natural abstraction in the sky. The act
itself forms a creative interaction of observation and imagination across the
space and time.
